This is often how an OSS commission begins. As an artist, bringing my own dreams to life in doll scale is a huge part of my personal joy. Helping others to realize their doll dreams also gives me great pleasure. Communication is key to a successful commission relationship. The fees laid out here are guidelines to assist in the decision making process. Repainting & Restyling Services

OSS Basic Repaint/Restyle 1/6 Scale Doll.....................................................$125.00

OSS Basic Repaint/Restyle 1/4 Scale Doll.....................................................$150.00

The Basic OSS Repaint/Restyle includes safely removing the factory screening, preparing the vinyl surface to receive the artist-grade, acrylic paints, water-color pencils, and varnishes used by this artist , and the creation of new, more realistic features. A thorough hair washing, comb out, and simple trim or razor cut is also included in the Basic Repaint/Restyle. Also included in this price for male dolls is the optional chest enhancement.

OSS Fantasy Repaint/Restyle 1/6 Scale Doll................................................$150.00

OSS Fantasy Repaint/Restyle 1/4 Scale Doll................................................$175.00

The OSS Fantasy Repaint/Restyle is for commissioned dolls of a fantasy nature with non-traditional features requiring more intricate and complex techniques such as body painting, "elf" ears, fancy tattoos, and piercings etc.. The prices in this category are subject to adjustments dependent upon specific techniques required to complete a project as commissioned.

Eye Enhancement & New Eyebrows..............................................................$50.00

An "enhancement" is applying new acrylics over existing paint. The factory EYE paint is NOT removed. For this particular OSS service, however, the factory applied eyebrows are carefully removed, and more realistic, natural looking brows are painted.

New Lip Paint & Detailing...............................................................................$45.00

This OSS service includes the complete removal of original lip paint. New lips are carefully painted and detailed in a color of customer's choosing.

Re-Rooting Services

Full Head Re-Root 1/6 Scale Barbie Sized Doll Head...................................$75.00

Full Head Re-Root 1/4 Scale Tyler Wentworth Sized Doll Head...................$115.00

Full Head Re-Root - Ellowyne Wild Doll Head..............................................$135.00

All existing hair is removed, including the stubble. If necessary, the scalp will be painted to better match the new hair color and sealed. After rooting, the top of the hair will be steam set. Length will be evened up but left very long. Styling of hair is a separate service and an additional charge.

OSS is always willing to discuss your ideas for your personal commission. This artist loves a challenge and expanding my personal arsenal of techniques. Base Doll: 16" Tonner Basic Jac

The client is a fantasy doll costumer specializing in movie characters. She will bring Akasha full circle with elaborate costumes and accessories. OSS's job was to provide the mannequin, a doll in 1/4 scale to represent Anne Rice's beautiful but deadly vampire queen, Akasha.

Akasha was given a full fantasy repaint including an all-over body glow using translucent, metallic gold acrylic paint. The doll's original hair was left intact and, after a thorough washing, was styled into the elaborate "hive" that will serve as an anchor for the heavy and ornate crowns worn by the vampire queen.

What is a commission? In a nutshell, a commission is a Doll Art project specified by the customer rather than the artist. OSS will always do our utmost to bring a customer's dream to "doll life" whenever possible.

OSS accepts commissions on a limited and case by case basis. If the project can be worked into the current design schedule, it will be. We do not accept commissions unless we can complete them in a timely fashion. Our customers deserve our full attention. If it cannot be done, it won't be promised.
